In homes across the Enfield borough, there are families and individuals that won’t be able to put food on the table today. A sudden crisis, such as low income, redundancies, benefit delay or even an unexpected bill, could mean that they have to survive without food. This is a difficult period and many people feel vulnerable and desperate. Food starvation has a number of detrimental effects and may make it harder for people to take the actions required to resolve their crisis. The North Enfield Foodbank is here to provide emergency food to local Enfield people in crisis.
The North Enfield Foodbank is part of the Trussell Trust‘s UK-wide network of over 200 Foodbanks in the UK. The initiative is run by Jubilee Church, London in conjunction with over 30 local churches across Enfield working together alongside schools, businesses, community organisations, statutory agencies and frontline care professionals, to provide emergency food to local Enfield people.
In addition to providing short term emergency food, we are also here to listen and signpost people to other support networks so they can get the assistance they need to come out of their current crisis.
